A Lust for Revenge

The discard wasn’t the end. It was only the ignition point.

In the weeks that followed L.O.'s ghosting of me, I sent a series of increasingly emotional and desperate emails trying to understand what I had done, clinging to some hope of her return. Withholding communication is a form of abuse, and for someone suffering from a fear of abandonment there is nothing worse than the feeling that you've been left behind as though you never even mattered. I wrote hundreds of emails, trying to get some form of reaction. At first I reasoned, then I pleaded, and eventually I descended into threats and verbal abuse, trying to provoke a reaction. Any reaction. Psychologists call this "reactive abuse". Narcissists are well known for causing their victims to react emotionally and then weaponize the result. But she refused to answer. Because I tracked my emails I could see that she was reading them. She just chose to ignore them. Deliberately. L.O. would never give me closure. 

None of my emails were ever answered.

She did do something with them. She decided to keep these reactionary emails and later used them to make me look like the abuser, while she stepped effortlessly in the role of the terrified victim. For the next three months I struggled to accept how someone who had said they cared could just turn off their feelings. I knew at that stage that she was narcissistic, but I still had no idea just how cruel and twisted she really was. I still had not seen beneath the mask.

Ghosting me wasn't her final act.

Three months later, In November 2024,  she and her accomplice Dom began a coordinated digital attack. Between the 16th and 29th, more than 20 of my personal accounts were systematically hacked: Amazon, Pay Pal, Google, Microsoft, Gmail, ProtonMail, LinkedIn, ElevenLabs, Facebook, a dozen Crypto Exchange accounts, all hacked in a way that only someone with complete access to all my passwords and account details would be able to do. Recovery emails were changed, passwords reset, accounts were deleted, and fake ones were created using my hijacked email addresses.

The keylogger spyware recorded everything I entered into the keyboard, and they spent the next few months collecting all my passwords and account details. This was no spur of the moment thing. It was coordinated and wilful. I have evidence of everything.

Revenge above all

When she was banned I had revealed her true self to the moderators on PIKA and for that she was going to destroy me. In order for her to feel good about herself again she needed to annihilate me. It is a classic narcissistic tactic.

But she left traces. I recovered google activity records from the hacked Gmail account, and an IP trace on the one day they neglected to turn on their VPN  traced them to Hemmoor, Northern Germany. I later discovered this was near Dom's home town.

When her attempt to guilt me into offering the €20,000 euros failed miserably, she decided she would just steal it.

Kick them while they are down

On December 18th, 2024,  less than a month after the hacking, L.O. formally filed false cybercrime charges against me with German authorities. Somehow she convinced Interpol that I was an international cyber terrorist and psychopathic stalker. Playing the victim. It was a textbook role reversal. She accused me of fraud, stalking, hacking, sexual assault, intimidation, forgery, harassment and a host of other crimes. Society has systems in place to protect the vulnerable. She weaponized these and used them against me, and she is very skilled at convincing others that she is a terrified, vulnerable and helpless victim. The Police believed her implicitly. 

Remove my ability to work

Two months later, on February 14th, 2025, the South African police's Cybercrime unit arrived at my home around 04:00 am, served a search warrant and confiscated my PC, all of my hard drives as well as my cell phone and the passport that I had gotten earlier to go visit her.

They informed me that L.O. had laid charges and said they were acting on a request from German authorities on instructions from a well known Cape Town lawyer. With my custom built computer now gone and all of my work libraries confiscated or deleted, she had finally managed to ensure I could no longer earn a living. Soon afterwards I had to stop working. She was free to continue on to her new job (which I had helped her procure) and to go after her next victim, secure in the knowledge that I would soon disappear into the African sunset. 

Putting the pieces together

By this time I had started to realize that the whole thing had been nothing but some type of long distance romance scam. Everything she had ever said had been a lie. The cost of the surgery she repeatedly told me about needing was not €20,000, the procedure cost at most €5,000. She had been trying to guilt me into offering her the money in order to not have to owe me anything.  When I discovered root malware on my PC I realised that it had been her that had planted spyware on my computer. The hacking in November had been a last ditch brute force attempt by her and her boyfriend to steal the money from my exchange accounts. They had failed, but only just.

In late February 2025, I began the task of compiling evidence, tracing the digital footprint of the attacks, creating timelines, correlating screenshots, messages and emails. Then, on the 13th of April 2025 I laid formal counter-charges with the South African Authorities who forwarded those to the German Authorities. I then launched my own private investigation. What began as forced self-defense turned into a mission to find out what really happened. It took me down a long path of discovery and made me realize just how thoroughly I had been played. I built this website and started planning a documentary series. And I began writing on forums for victims of narcistic abuse. Forums on platforms like Quora and Facebook. On August 7th 2025 I reached one million views on Quora. 

She has not stopped trying to silence me.

In late April 2025, five months after she and Dom had hacked my accounts I received a letter from her new employer's law firm. It accused me of defamation for a message I had allegedly sent eight months earlier, a message they refused to, or couldn't produce. It was clearly a desperate attempt to intimidate me into silence, engineered by L.O. and  using her employers company resources for her personal benefit. I was supposed to feel intimidated. I sent the letter back, unsigned. They had tried to scare me into silence. They failed.

She recently posed as a user called Mildred on Quora and sent me a message: "Hello Klaus"  then used her knowledge of social media platforms to launch a ban attack and have me banned from Quora. However, thanks to community support and a review by human moderators my ban was soon revoked and I continue to write for the benefit of other narcissistic abuse survivors.

They failed to silence me.

The Aftermath is not the end of the story. It's just the point in the story where I decided to stop being the victim.

I don't think the chances of some random German scammer targeting a South African while speaking German is very high.
